Reference my Blog post on 12/31/24. “Sales of Bibles are Booming”
A recent article on Fox called “Rosary’ beats Rogan: Is faith-based media becoming mainstream”, reported that The Rosary in a Year (with Fr. Mark-Mary Ames, CFR)” climbed to #1 on Apple Podcasts to start off the new year…” Now will that last? No idea, Joe Rogan would be a tough one to beat in the ratings long term. I mean, smoking a joint with Elon Musk, listening to Rod Blagojevich’s conspiracy theories….that is some interesting stuff. I am Catholic and I must say at times praying the rosary seem liked…well a burden. Maybe I need to take another look.

The Rosary Podcast Hosted by Father Mark Mary Ames, claims the prayer resonates with people who are looking for guidance a sense of direction and hope. Again, this is happing, along with an increase in the sales of Bibles, right after a time that many people turned away from religion, or at least organized religion. Many people were actually ashamed to talk about there faith. It is (was?) just was not cool in our progressive or woke-leaning culture to talk about faith. In fact, if you professed your faith, you were sometimes chastised.
This time I want opinions from my Blog readers. What are your thoughts on this topic? Trend? A change in the political winds? People are seeing other alternatives?
I believe it is a fact that people who make New Year’s Resolution generally break them within two weeks. This includes diets, going to the gym and vices like smoking and drinking. Perhaps many people made a resolution to be more religious, or something like along that line.
Thanks
